The Office of the Vice-Chancellor is responsible for strategic planning and operational oversight of the university.

Mary Watkins (DVC: Academic & Partnerships) Academic planning (programmes, student numbers) including regional partnerships (UPC, CUC, PCMD, BRNC, health service), teaching & learning (quality & enhancement), student experience, human resources including negotiation with the RTUs, corporate information and planning, philanthropic giving, international students (pathways, franchises)
- Student experience (student numbers, retention, progression, achievements)
- OVC contact for the faculties of Health & Social Work, Education, UPC, PCMD
- OVC oversight of the directorates of Teaching & Learning (including CETLs), Library & IT, Human Resources
- OVC oversight of the Dean of Students
- OVC lead contact with the Faculty Business Managers
- OVC lead OFFA, fees & scholarships
- OVC representative on HERDA-SW Executive (alternate with Maureen Neal)
- OVC representative on HERDA-SW Health committee & Cornwall MediPark
- Chair Academic Development Committee
- Chair TRAC Committee
- Sports Forum
- Community engagement strategy
